Bamanga Tukur resigns as PDP Chairman, see who might replace him

The embattled PDP Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, has officially tendered his resignation letter.

A Senior member of the National Working Committee of the party confirmed this to Punch newspaper in Abuja. President Goodluck Jonathan will disclose the latest development to party members later this evening in Abuja.

Reports also have it that the First Lady Patience Jonathan is already making a move to have the Minister of Transport, Idris Umar, to be appointed as the new PDP Chairman
